Description
“Know yourself” is a philosophical maxim that was inscribed upon the Temple of Apollo in the ancient Greek precinct of Delphi.
Paradoxically, a Dionysian dance like butoh finds its core in this Apollonian assertion. To dance butoh is to learn about yourself by becoming other than yourself. The deeper one goes—and the more honest one becomes—in this exploration, the more captivating this dance is.

What to expect:
- Unlocking the movement of the spine
- Deep work with the imagination and shadow work
- Becoming rock and water, form and its dissolution
- Work with the face, creating a body for a face
- Various exercises in duos
- Group work and improvisations (the last hour of the day will be an open stage always guided by me and supported by a welcoming environment that we will create together) OR work on final small individual creations, depending on how we feel
- Relaxation techniques, Naguchi Taiso inspired exercises
- Personalised feedback, if asked for

You can either pay the whole sum or 50€ to register [these are not reimbursable] and then the rest in cash on the first day of the workshop. My classes are usually full, so don’t wait till the last moment;) Also, I can offer a discount to those who struggle to pay the full amount.
