I am a butoh dancer, performance artist, and choreographer working at the intersection of contemporary philosophy and educational politics
About me
Butoh is a thought on life and a song to it. Butoh is praying and praying is listening.
I am fascinated by the uniquely human desire to become a complete stranger to oneself—to transform into something beyond the human. I am also fascinated by singing to the world through embodied poetry, which, curiously, emerges from listening to it. My dance is a shapeshifting practice that chants the world and questions the place of the human within it.
